Staying Healthy as You Age in Place

Most adults want to stay healthy and live at home as long as possible. More than 90 percent of older adults would prefer to age in place rather than move to senior housing, according to the National Aging in Place Council.

We encourage you to periodically assess your home for risks that could lead to injury or accidents. Often the solutions don’t involve caregivers and may be physical improvements such as placing a bath chair in the shower, mounting hand-rails throughout the house, or even installing a lift up a staircase.

Here are a few services we provide:

  • Home safety assessment and retrofitting
  • Visits by an occupational therapist, nutritionist, or other specialist to develop home strategies that support your medical care plan
  • A nurse visit to update your health records or develop a personal care plan.
