Most adults want to stay healthy and live at home as long as possible. More than 90 percent of older adults would prefer to age in place rather than move to senior housing, according to the National Aging in Place Council.
We encourage you to periodically assess your home for risks that could lead to injury or accidents. Often the solutions don’t involve caregivers and may be physical improvements such as placing a bath chair in the shower, mounting hand-rails throughout the house, or even installing a lift up a staircase.
